Top 50 Guilty Pleasure Movies

August 11th 2010 22:55

Categorizing something as a guilty pleasure movie is incredibly subjective. Someone may have no trouble admitting like at certain film that other person would be embarrased to bring up. There's also the 'situational' guilty pleasure film. Maybe you can admit your joy for this movie to members of your family but you'd blush bright read if you tell one of your friends. Here's a list of my Top 50 Guilty Pleasure films. This hasn't been updated in some time, but it still seems fairly accurate. The simple categorization here for me was 'does it embarrass me to admit I like this movie in general?' I'd love to hear some of your guilty pleasure movies. Mine tend to run towards comedies and rarely contain films from this decade. How about you? Horror? God-awful tearjerking dramas? B-movies from the 50's? Please note this order is not based upon how much I like the movie, just how much I feel it falls into the 'guilty pleasure' category. Although Speed is arguably my favorite movie on here

The Faculty's a great flick!

Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure can be enjoyed without feeling guilty, surely!

You have some truly dreadful indulgences in your list, I gotta say. How many of these do you actually own on DVD ... that's the real question!

Bryn -- hahaha, I'll never tell! I adore The Faculty to death-- it's so fun to laugh at. Ever watch an edited version on TV? 'fucking alien' suddenly becomes 'fuzzy alien' it's awesome. Tell me some of yours!

Katie -- I have to rethink everything now! nooooo!

Right, well I'd best let the cat outta the bag then:

Emmanuelle series
Zandalee
Flash Gordon
plus I have the entire Space: 1999 and UFO series

That's all I'm prepared to admit to.
