Funniest Porno Ever!!!

I was trying to think of a good title for this review that would have you saying “what the?” so I just used the exact same words that I said after seeing this movie – funniest porno ever!!!
No, it’s not a real Porno – they don’t usually require a movie review!!! The movie itself is called “Zack and Miri Make a Porno” and it’s THIS porno that I am reviewing. Understand? Excellent!!!
We are welcomed into the pathetic lives of 2 life long platonic friends, Zack (Seth Rogan) and Miri (Elizabeth Banks). They haven’t amounted to anything since leaving high school, and are living in a shitty little unit where the bills keeping pilling up and the utilities keep getting turned off.
While at their 10 year reunion, Miri runs in to her former crush, the high school quarterback Bobby. While Miri builds up some Dutch courage to go and chat to Bobby, Zack sees a guys standing in the corner that he recognises, but knows that he wasn’t from their school. He introduces himself, and finds out that the guy’s name is Brandon and - not only to the amusement of Zack and the embarrassment of Miri - that he is not only Bobby’s gay partner, but also a porn star (which of course is where Zack remembers him from). After seeing how nicely the guys are dressed, and talking to them about how much they get paid and the luxury that they live in, the seed is planted in Zack’s brain.
The next morning, after throwing out yet another pile of overdue bills, Zack tries to convince Miri that they should make a porno. “We both have no dignity left. Your parents are dead, my grandparents are dead, and those who are left wouldn’t care if we made a porno!” Miri is skeptical that Zack is doing this just so he can finally sleep with her. After explaining to her that they are best friends and it would be like a brother and sister having sex, and the fact that they could finally get rid of all their money problems, Miri is convinced and they set out to make a porno.
They enlist the help of their friend Delany, purely because he has been saving money to buy himself a flatscreen TV and they need the money to start the ball rolling. They tell him that he can be the porno producer, and “you can see all the titties you want”. Knowing that this will make his overbearing wife furious, he agrees.
The auditions take place and they finally find their “stars” – Stacey, a pole dancer who loves anal and oral, Bubbles (who is actually the real porn star Tracy Lords), who gets her name from the amazing way she can blow bubbles without using her mouth, and Lester, who’s special talent is to make his dick stand up and not just out.
After much deliberation of the title – knowing that it has to be a send up of a real movie title – “Star Whores” is born. The stage is finally set and the misfits all get to work to make their awesome porno
The rest of the movie is just hilarious – they face so many hurdles and problems, and it is just so funny to watch. Seeing if it will all come together, watching people who have no idea what they are doing trying to have sex in front of the camera, watching Zack and Miri start to develop feelings for each other (not too hard to figure out) and watching one of the most grossest scenes you will ever see in a porno that is not really a porno!!!
This movie is another Kevin Smith gem, keeping in line with his other cult classics like Chasing Amy and Clerks. His dry sense of humor and ability to make comic gold out of such simple plots is just fantastic.
If you want to have a great laugh without having to think about what you are watching, then “Zack and Miri Make a Porno”is for you. And hey, what kind of “porno” would it be without a bit of nudity?! There’s a bit of T & A so you can have a perve and a giggle as well.
My verdict? Funniest Porno Ever!!
